Sandbag
Time Duration: 21/02/2023 - 27/02/2023
The model will be used the same from WWII to form a barricade wall on between trenches and no mans land.
Research
I choose different models of sandbags based on the shape design and texture.

Modelling Process
The idea for the model's shape was to make it the pillow shaped like from my research models.
1) I started using a primitive cube model (36 width × 2 height × 66 depth cm with 10 subdivision width + depth, and 5 subdivision height) in a FX scene, by adding a nCloth to the object, and the changed the Pressure in the nClothShape to 0.5 & the Gravity from the nucleus to 0, to create the pillow form.



3) Finally, I added a bevel to the edges with a reversed extrusion on some faces, after deleting some unnecessary of the height lines, and added a smooth to the model with an edited UV map.

Creating Material Maps
I used a Fabric Suit Vintage Material from Abode Substance 3D Painter by editing the material's colour and paraments pattern to match the sandbag's material.
