Sandbag
Time Duration: 21/02/2023 - 27/02/2023
The model will be used to form a wall shape around some of the trenches based on how they were used in WWII.
Research
I choose different models of sandbags based on the shape design and texture.

Modelling Process
My idea for the shape of model is to make it the same shape as a pillow.
1) I started by reshaping a primitive cube model to 36 × 2 × 66 cm (xyz) with 10 subdivisions in width and depth, and 5 subdivisions in height.


2) After changing the scene to FX, I added a nCloth to the object, and the changed the Pressure in the nClothShape to 0.5 & the Gravity from the nucleus to 0, to create the pillow form.
3) Next, I added a bevel to the edges and a reversed extruded some faces, after deleting some unnecessary of the height lines.

4) Finally, I added a smooth to the model and edited the UV map before exporting it.
Creating Material Maps
I started using Abode Substance 3D Painter with adding a Fabric Suit Vintage Material and editing the paraments pattern & colour of the material to match the sandbag material I’m trying to create before exporting it.
